In addition to living in Toronto, I've had the good fortune of living in Antofagasta and Santiago, Chile, as well as London, England. This has given me the opportunity to visit well over 30 countries on every continent, with the exception of Antarctica, in less than a decade. As a result, my travels have heavily influenced my work and my perspective on life. While painting and photography are my main focuses, I have also applied my artistic style and influence in the corporate world. This includes marketing campaigns and creative direction for several international companies such as working on the design of logos, marketing collateral, corporate identity, product launches, websites, conferences and events, etc. I have also led the architectural collaboration and creative design of a discotheque in South America. Between 2002-2004, Envy Lounge became the region's top club and was featured frequently in the national Chilean newspapers, design magazines, and television. It played host to popular events attracting top DJs and celebrities from all over South America. Many of its design elements are imitated by clubs in Chile to this day. My work is in private and corporate collections in Canada, Greece, Chile, UK, and the USA. Welcome and thanks for visiting my website! My name is Spiro Georges Mandylor and I am a Greek-Canadian artist from Toronto, Canada. My oil paintings are a celebration of the diverse beauty of urban landscapes from around the world. Some have described my painting style as a contemporary take on late 19th century expressionism. I interpret light, texture, and colour to convey an expression of the unique character or personality of the cities and towns I love, so that people can experience them the way I do. My photography is also focused on urban landscapes, as well as candid street photography and portraits.
